Shakuhachi
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1993, Takikita Eizan studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Miyaji Gazan and Miyoshi Genzan, and sankyoku ensemble under Tomiyama Seikin II (Living National Treasure). While based in the classics, he is active in a wide range of musical genres, and has recently premiered many commissioned works for shakuhachi ensembles, expanding his musicality. In 2018, he released the jazz album "innocence". In 2019, he held the "Takikita Eizan Shakuhachi Recital" in Fukuoka. He passed both the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Association Associate Master and Master's Exams with the highest scores. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed the graduate school there.
